For whatever reason, there is a marked change in the store operations, starting with the dismissal of the representative that captured my loyalty (really miss you Jen) and now the proverbial last straw of baiting customers without so much as an explanation of why ... basically, ‘Customers report to us, we don't report to the customer’ is the new business model.

As my phone is showing signs of full failure in the near future, I wanted to understand the options available for a quick turnaround. As to not waste time and gas driving to the store, I called and asked if they had the phone I wanted in stock, to which I was informed of their new policy, "You will have to come to the store so we can pull up your account and see if we can tell you what we have in stock." This caught me a little off guard so I questioned the policy stating I would have to drive 15 miles just to get there and didn't want to waste the time if they didn't have it. Because of my history with the store I was willing to place an order and wait a couple of days if needed; however, the refusal to disclose if they have even one of the model I was interested in leads me to believe they want to control the customer instead of serve the customer. The representative was unrelenting stating "We can't disclose our inventory" (makes it difficult to plan on the customer’s part); when I stated that this meant I will no longer be doing business with this store, I was given the impression I would not be missed.
I have done business with this store for about 7 years, or should I say had done business; I used them for all my family needs with great success until recently. A simple query to find out if they had a particular phone in stock has resulted in a total lack of confidence for the team motives and the business ethics of this store.

The store still get 2 stars as each time I had visited previous to this encounter, the staff knowledge was better than par. But, there are few reasons why you can't disclose if you have a single item a repeat customer is asking for; even fewer justifiable, and these are unlikely when there is unwillingness to disclose such reasons - especially when there is no guarantee that they will tell me even after they pull up my account information.
