Formerly the site of Cook Elementary School (closed in 2010, demolished in 2015), there is now a large open field here and some paved parking. There is also a wooded playground area in the back of the property, as well as a softball backstop. The field is popular for team practices (softball, soccer, football) and the playground is used by neighborhood families and young people. There are no bathroom facilities and there is no water available. Playground equipment is well maintained and the grounds are mowed regularly. In the summer of 2017, someone installed a "little free library", which is a nice addition.
