I wish I could give this location a better review. The doctors and nurses were very nice and helped us get our son feeling better when he had an ear infection. However, we have had nothing but problems since then. We have now received THREE bills from them for the full amount of the visit even though we only have a $15 urgent care copay with our insurance. After we received the first bill, I called to make sure they had the correct ID numbers for our insurance plan and asked them to to submit it again (they claimed that they had the wrong ID number and that was the reason for the incorrect bill). Well...a few weeks later, we received a second bill for the full amount, this one actually stating that our insurance (BCBS) did not cover any portion of it. This time I called Blue Cross. They told me that this was completely untrue and that they had no record of the visit ever being submitted to them. Blue Cross then called them to handle the situation. We were told that the visit was resubmitted, yet a few weeks later we have AGAIN received another bill asking us to pay this visit in full. I don't know what is going on here, but they either have someone who is completely incompetent working their billing department or something is just stuck in their system. Either way, it makes me wonder how many people have been ripped off by this location by paying the full amount without realizing anything was wrong. So fed up!!!
Absolutely amazing place to go. Would recommend to anyone who needs to be seen in an urgent care setting. Staff was super great, helpful, and fast. Some of the most friendly people I have encountered in the medical field.
We called the provider at 3:40 pm on a Saturday and asked if they would be willing to see us even though they closed at 4, so we were very greatful but when we arrived at 4 him and his team were leaving. They then said it was unfair to his team to ask them to stay a half hour late and that we have to go to Houghton lake, which by the way was a very nice location. This would have been fine if he had simply called to say he couldn't do it. Instead he waited until we had drove there to then say he will not and then proceeded to question the validity of the illness. Highly unprofessional, inconsiderate, and disrespectful of our time. I strongly discourage going to this location for medical needs.
Don't plan on coming here if you feel like crap and dont want to wait forever. Been there a few times and you wait an hour or more every time. If they fixed that it wouldnt be a bad place to go
