Great views, lots of open space. Good sledding in the winter. Not usually too busy.
This small park is well maintained with good walking paths. It overlooks the cooling ponds of the co-generation plant. Tons of birds including a couple bald eagles can be spotted here frequently. Deer are plentiful as well. In the winter, the hill can, and is, used for sledding regularly.
Beautiful park area to walk around. It leads to the downtown Midland area for good food and shopping, a park area that is split into sections; a dog park (with both an area for big dogs and a separate area for small), a skate park, and a wide open area that does include a children's playset and a nice area to hold gatherings at. It also leads to a disc golf place, baseball fields, and wooded trails to walk.
It's kind of like a classic makeout hill with a snow hill for sledding, and watching Dow Corning polute the city. Quite romantic.
Not much to write home about except for it's outstanding view of one of the world's largest chemical plant complexes. You'll be happy to know that you are always up wind of the plant when you are at Overlook Park.
