After five years I am no longer a Ray's customer. In short they are over priced and under staffed. I have purchased five bikes from them in the past and was about to purchase a sixth when I finally decided I have had enough. You never know what type of customer service you will receive when walking in if any service at all. I have also had problems with bikes purchased in the past and was better off making the repairs myself with the help of youtube than dealing with some of their mechanics. I thought being a loyal customer to them over the years would come with some sort of benefits and it has not. I don't mind paying higher prices if it is made up elsewhere with quality and service, but in the case of this bike shop they have fallen short on both.
Friendly staff with a solid merchandise selection. The free air on the side of the building is a great asset to bikers riding through downtown.
I spent 5 years of my life working here. I miss it sometimes, but am more than happy to still be working for the company after 10 year! I still get to visit from time to time and enjoy seeing all the customers I used to work with =) Thanks for being so dang awesome Ray's!
Best bike shop in Tri-City area, ask for Brad or Jim.
We rented fat tire bikes for a trip through City Forest. Brad was awesome to deal with and went out of his way to find extra bikes for our group of 9. He and Corey did a great job guiding us through the trails as well. Thanks again for a great day in Michigan's winter wonderland!
